I buy all thier singles tho, and by the time i got round to buying the album it already had a mercury award sticker slapped on it so i decided to spend it on albums that need to be noticed.

that list has to be wrong surely. where'd you get the stats? as far as I read before somewhere Arctics sold that many in the UK alone, meaning they sold no extra in mass markets like US or Japan or mainland Europe??
am I the only one here that's glad James Blunt is actually number one? as much as I loathe the guy, the new Chilli Peppers stuff is attrocious, every single so far has had me screaming what the hell are they doing, they have released a coupla classic albums and monumental singles, and now, that Keidis idiot should be bloody shot for massacring Frusciante's genius guitar work. Flea and Antony said when the album comes out, if you don't like this album you're not a true Chilli Peppers fan, what wankers, all their early funk fans are not 'fans', the people who made them get to the stage where they took their cocks out of the sheep condoms, the people who bought the records when they found a soul in their drug pasts and wrote personal and expressive lyrics and had charisma not 'fans', but people who like singing hey fucking yo are true fans?!
anyway....[/quote]

I've only heard the first cd of stadium arcadium, and although it never angered me like it has done with you Marbled, it just sounded like they'd run out of ideas. It sounded ok, but ok is just.....well, ok.Blood Suga Sex Magik was fantastic, One Hot Minute was so underrated and Californication was genius. I think the chances of another classic album from the chillis, just as it is with Oasis, is none existent.

As marbled said, some of those have definitely got to be wrong. Monkeys have done over a million in this country alone, Snow Patrol has done more than that here and also done pretty well in the USA and Robbie has clearly got to have sold more than 1.1 million in the world.
